Cricket
There is a cricket field with
prepared cricket square as
well as two cricket nets.
Athletics
There is a 6 lane 400 metre oval grass running track.
Changing room, toilet and shower facilities are available with the hire of all of these facilities.
Events
During the summer months parts of the playing fields are available for special events . KGV plays host to Village Day in July and our annual Fireworks Spectacular in October/ November. Other events for which the grounds are eminently suitable include:-
Car rallies, fetes and fairs, Sports days, Car boot sales, sports courses, fitness courses, dog training/shows, festivals and much more

Rugby and football pitches,

The KGV playing fields consists of around 20 acres of grass maintained to a high standard throughout the year by our resident groundsman and which provide the following:
September to May
Rugby
There are two full size pitches and two smaller Colts/training pitches all sited on flat well-drained ground. The two training pitches have floodlighting for evening training and are available for hire on Monday and Friday evenings. The KGV is home to Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Club and the Howard of Effingham School so availability is limited but with careful booking extra matches can sometimes be fitted in.
Football
There are two full size pitches with goalposts, nets and flags once again sited on flat well drained ground.
