Facilities for teams
There are both grass and 3G sports pitches, all being maintained to a high standard throughout the year by professional contractors. This and the underlying ground conditions mean that during periods of bad weather the grass pitches here are often playable when others locally are not. Some of the pitches are floodlit making them suitable for evening training.
Showers, changing rooms, WCs and loudspeaker facilities can also be booked.

Grass Pitches
Rugby
There are two full-size pitches and two smaller Colts / training pitches all sited on flat well-drained ground. The two training pitches have floodlighting for evening training and are available for hire on Monday and Friday evenings. The pitches are currently used mostly by Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Football Club as their home ground and so availability at other times is limited, but extra matches can sometimes be fitted in – please contact us to discuss this.
Football
There is an 11-a-side pitch, and a 9-a-side pitch, each with goal posts, nets and flags, again sited on flat, well-drained ground.
Grass Pitches and Tracks

Athletics Triathletics Charity challenges
Contact us about holding your organisation’s sports day or regional athletics event here. We can mark out a 6-lane 400 metre oval grass running track. We need two weeks notice to do this (and of course longer if possible). Loudspeaker, changing room, toilet and shower facilities are available for hire separately.
Cricket
KGV has a substantial cricket field with a cricket square and two cricket nets, in a beautiful ‘bowl’ setting with raised grass banks for spectators.
NB These facilities are currently not in use. They would require organised advance preparation but this can be done for sustained, rather than one-off use. Contact us if you would like to discuss this further.

We have a first-class state of the art artificial grass pitch for all-weather multi-purpose use by adult or junior groups. It has an area of more than 2,000 square yards enclosed by a 4-metre high security fence and LED floodlighting. It can be hired in one hour blocks until 21.30 at night. It can be used as one 7-a-side or two 5-a-side pitches . It is ideal for walking football, no-contact rugby and similar games.
Users must wear appropriate footwear on all occasions (ask for details). This facility can be booked for sports-based birthday parties. The Trust is extremely grateful to Bookham Colts for their commitment to refurbishing these former hard courts.
