As part of the village’s celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, a “Concert in the Park” took place on the evening of Sunday June 24th, the day after Village Day. Organised by Effingham Village Recreation Trust, the event featured the Dorking Rock Choir, St. Teresa’s Preparatory School Choir and two 45-minute performances by the tribute band Abba Inferno, all this followed by a fireworks display.
