Football
Available September to May.
Both grass and 3G sports pitches are available for Hire at The KGV. There are two 11-a-side pitches, and a 9-a-side pitch, each with goal posts, nets and flags, sited on flat, well-drained ground. We have recently added a bespoke Vets / Walking football pitch which also benefits from floodlights.
In partnership with The F.A. and Football Foundation PitchPower Programme, we maintain our pitches to a high standard throughout the year. This and the underlying ground conditions mean that during periods of bad weather, our grass pitches are often playable when others locally are not. Floodlit pitches are also available.
Showers, changing rooms, WCs and loudspeaker facilities can also be booked.

Rugby
Available September to May
There are 4 pitches available: two full-size pitches and two smaller Colts/training pitches. All pitches are sited on flat well-drained ground. The two training pitches have floodlighting for evening training and are available for hire on Monday and Friday evenings. The pitches are primarily used by Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Football Club as their home ground and so availability is limited, but extra matches can sometimes be accomodated.

Grass Pitches and Tracks
May to September
Athletics, Sports Days, Charity challenges and other sporting events
The KGV is used by local schools in the summer term for Track and Field Athletics. It is also a venue for the local Surrey Primary Schools Cross Country Competitions. The facilities are ideal to host sports days or regional athletics events. A 6-lane, 400-metre oval grass running track is available throughout the summer for hire. Typically, we require a minimum of two weeks’ notice to ensure the pitch markings are in tip-top condition.
A loudspeaker system, changing rooms, toilet and shower facilities are also available for hire.

Cricket
A cricket field and wicket, set within a beautiful ‘bowl’ with raised grass banks for spectators is also available for long term hire. It would require advanced notice to prepare the site but this can be done for sustained, rather than one-off use.

3G All-weather Pitches
All year round
Football Walking-Football No-contact Rugby Wheelchair sports
A state-of-the-art All-Weather pitch is available for hire by the community. It has an enclosed area of more than 2,000 square metres. Modern LED floodlighting is also available. It can be hired in one-hour blocks from 9am until 21.30pm.
One 7-a-side pitch and two 5-a-side pitches are marked out. It is ideal for walking football, no-contact rugby and general community use with appropriate footwear.
It is also a base for activity camps and coaching in school holidays.
Users must wear appropriate footwear on all occasions (ask for details).
This facility can be booked for birthday parties or other uses such as keep-fit boot-camps, Tai Chi and training. If you have an idea for how you might wish to use the site, do call us to discuss.
