Sadly, KGV suffered quite a few casualties in the hands of storm Eunice last week and there are several very large trees that have come down, especially in the woods behind St. Lawrence Church.
Many of the trees have been made safe but there are still trees that pose a real danger. As a result, we have been advised to close the public footpath that leads from the back of St. Lawrence’s churchyard down to the Howard of Effingham School until further notice.
Some of the damage is shown in the photos below, but some other much larger trees that were brought down are so large that it is not practical to photograph them.
