The local blog Leatherhead Living has reported that on 12 November a piece of publicly-owned land rather close to Effingham has become the scene of another encampment:
Trustees continue to feel that the only safe thing to do is to keep the Browns Lane gate locked for now.
However, there is better news. After a great deal of research and evaluation of different options, a decision has been taken about installation of additional barriers to obstruct vehicle access to the fields. The work has been commissioned in order to get it underway as soon as possible. Trustees will however be posting further news soon, with an appeal for donations towards the cost.
